Il paese di Torre Cajetani sorge sulla sommità di un colle e si è sviluppato tutt' intorno al castello medievale ( del XIII ° secolo ) dalla poderosa struttura a quadrilatero. Appartenne alla potente famiglia Caetani, che di questo luogo è originaria, e fu probabilmente una postazione di guardia, di notevole importanza strategica, sulla Valle Anticolana. Originariamente "castello" di Alatri, il paese vero e proprio sorse nel X secolo per meglio sfruttare le risorse agricolo-pastorali offerte dalla piana di Canterno. Interessanti i suoi luoghi di culto, tra i quali ricordiamo: la chiesa parrocchiale di Santa Maria Assunta, la quale, seppur di struttura semplicissima, presenta al suo interno quadri pittorici di notevole interesse, la chiesa della Santissima Trinità, ubicata a circa 1 km dal paese, ed infine la chiesa di San Benedetto, eretta a ricordo della sosta nel centro, nel suo viaggio da Subiaco a Cassino, dell'omonimo Santo. Tra le sue bellezze naturali va annoverata la famosa sorgente "Le fontanelle", anticamente nota come "fonte Arillam", posta nella stessa vallata dove sgorgano le celebri "acque di Fiuggi", costituita da quindici polle di acqua purissima, dotata delle identiche proprietà curative di quest'ultime.

Torre Cajetani is a town, which has grown around its 13th century hill-top castle, a sturdy quadrilateral structure dominating the Anticolana Valley once belonging to the Caetani, a powerfull family with local origins. Their stronghold probably acted as a sentinel over the strategically important valley. Though originally a "Castello" of Alatri, the village of Torre Cajetani was most likely founded in the 10th cent., to exploit better the agricultural and pastural resources offered by the plain of Canterno. The town has many cultural attractions such as the parish Church of S. Maria Assunta, a plain structure in which can be seen paintings of considerable interest; also the Church of the SS. Trinità, located only one kilometer from the town, not forgetting the Church of S. Benedetto which was built in memory of the Saint's staying in the town during his journey from Subiaco to Cassino where he founded the famous Abbey. Torre Cajetani also has to offer the renowned spring waters of "Le fontanelle"; these beautiful gushing sprìng, known in ancient times as "fonte Arillam", are located in the same valley where flow the celebrated waters feeding the thermal resort of Fiuggi. In all, "Le fontanelle" consist of fifteen fountains, which emit the purest of waters, endowed with known curative virtues, which are now a copyright.
